I was wondering if you can use the sct tuner as a general obd II reader for any vehicle with obd II. reason being i have to do some work on a toyota camry and i believe it is obd II. the check engine light is on now, can i use the sct to read/clear the trouble codes on a toyota? Please help

please help i am concerned it may do something to the toyota computer, is this a possibility....

my understanding is no... the tuners are locked to the car they are used on.....

only SCT can unlock it for a different car..... (that's what the dealer I got mine from said)

^^^ i have also heard that they lock it to the specific make/model.

yeah i know they are vin locked to tune vehicles but in the directions it says u can use it on other vehicles as a obd2 reader...not sure about toyota though
