We've got one in our Mustang club. It's a torch red/white stripes convertible. That thing is amazing. I'd love one just for the collector value. I wouldn't look right in a GT500 anyway; the rest of the owners are twice my age, minimum.

I know a guy who has a black/silver strips. His dealer changed the oil at 500 miles for free, and he was getting ready to do the second one himself. The Shelby's take 5w50 oil and he couldn't find it anywhere so he bought the Motorcraft 5w50 from the dealer to do it himself. He said he about crapped when they said the oil was $8 per quart! I guess if you can afford a cobra, you can afford to maintain it is my theorey.

ahhh.....i saw the same Red one with white racing stripes on 35 in Dallas....and i saw a black one with either flat black or gray lettering....it looked pretty mean......and im taking the emblems that the guy who had the car before put onoff because im not trying to pose as a Fobra

I've seen two.

One, I was at a gas station pumping in some 93 and then a red one with white stripes pulled in right behind me. I just was staring and like wow, anyway I said very nice car and was on my way.

The second one was on the opposite side of the highway, I almost snapped my neck as well turning around trying to see that baby. This one was blue with silver stripes.

I also saw a Shelby GT but I didn't like it quite as much. Some argue that it's more of a Shelby in that it goes to the SAE plant. Regardless, i think it's too much appearance mods. It almost looks rice to me, and I really don't mean to offend anyone by this. The one thing I really dislike is the hood scoop...

The Shelby GT-H is tasteful. The Shelby GT just doesn't do anything for me. Anyway, I have yet to see a Shelby GT-500. Last time I was at the tracks there was one there though, not sure what it ran. It was Fun Ford's Weekend at Englishtown, NJ. Was too busy watching/browsing/racing.

Only made it to the 2nd round. I lost to another 05+ GT. We were both dialed for 8.65 (Windy, so they limited it to 1/8 mile.) I beat him by a few hundreths of a second, but he had the better R/T so he got the win. Sad! I think the person who gets over the finish line should win, but that's just my .02.

I've only seen one on the road and it was Grabber Orange with Silver stripes and I saw a Torch Red one with White stripes at Magarino Ford back in August when I was getting my car.
