Default Meziere water pump

I am trying to decide if this is a good idea or not. The idea is a dependable daily driverasfast as possible.

What are some thoughts on this.

If i'm not mistaken, you'll get about the same HP from an UDP and pay less for it.
I believe both are rated around 10hp.

you will get about 10 hp. brenspeed sells a udp + h2o combo. good hp gains but you need to get a tune as well. the down side is that you work your alternator harder and will shorten its life. it does add hp and does work better than the stock water pump. most people just don't want it messin with their alternator

Sorry you don't need a tune for underdrive pullys or electric water pumps. Brenspeed does sell it as a package deal.

Sorry, but I am not buying this statement.

You do not need a tune for something that does not in any way affect air or fuel delivery to the motor. If someone is telling you that you will get better gains out of UDPs and/ or an EH2O pump with a tune, I can promise you all they are trying to do is sell you a tune. I don't care who it is or what their reputation is.

I think the biggest benefit of the electric water pump is the ability to circulate engine coolant when the engine is off. Even if it did net 10hp (which it probably doesn't), 10hp isn't a noticeable performance increase.

If you don't race the car where cooling times are critical.....don't waste the money.
