Default Birthday mod, 500 to spend, suggestions?

My birthday is a few weeks away still but whatever, I'm planning ahead

I'm thinking I'll buy myself a mod of some sort, I have to keep the price at 500 or less

no thoughts as to whether it'll be a performance or appearance mod, if I get appearance I kinda would like a hood scoup (do people think a nonfunctional is cheesy? cause I like the xenon one)

if I do performance I know everyone says CAI + tune, is there a good one for 500?

btw does a tune require that I start using higher octane fuel? I really like that I can use 87 right now

whatever I get, it'll be my first mod on the the new mustang, so you guys might be right about it becoming an addiction, I already can't wait!

Rear gears dude, 4:10, 4:30's. For $250 its a killer mod that you will DEFINITELY feel in your butt dyno. Then you'd still have some decent cash left over to save for an appearance mod.

Most seem to recommend the Tune/CAI as a 1st mod. The JLT can be had for near 550. and you can get 3 different octane tunes. Just save up a few extra bucks in the meantime for the extra 50.

I dont think gears can be had for 250 installed. (edit maybe, but not adding on the install kit) But is still a great mod, and would be under 500 with complete install.

Maybe you should just buy 500 $1 lottery tickets, and if you hit the jackpot you can buy a Shelby 500......

yea blitzed gears are like 230 but most places charge way over that to install them but if they were cheap and cheap to put on that would be great.

+1 on Cold Air Intake and Tune. Installation is easy so you'll save money there by doing it yourself

Listen, put your money in the bank and never speak of this again, once you start, you will have an overly obcessive urge to continue and purchase more modifications. $500.00 on CAI/Tune now is $5000.00 on a Blower later, $5,000 on a blower later, is $50,000 on a Cobra real later.

So now does it really only cost "$500".

I think not.

You've been warned...

Ahh, you sound like you speak from experience. Either way, you are definitely correct. I am at $6k+ (edit: make that $7k+) in modsand growing.... but its such a fun addiction.
