Quick question for Hurst installers
I want to install my Hurst shifter today cuz its nice out... However no one is around to help me... How feasible would it be to install it by myself?.. I know its possible but would it be too annoying? Everyone said they had helping hand to wiggle the shifter in... Thanks

RE: Quick question for Hurst installers
My son installed mine several weeks ago, the only thing I did was guide the new shifter down through the hole. And of course drank the beer while he worked. Isn't child laobr great!!!
Can be done by yourself, 2nd set of hands really does help.

RE: Quick question for Hurst installers
I recently installed my Tri-ax, solo. It wasn't that difficult, and the tri-ax is beefier then the stock and hurst shifters so it's a little harder to move around in the tight spaces. Didn't take me that long.

RE: Quick question for Hurst installers
The front bolt takes a 10mm wrench and you need a 13mm socket maybe a 12mm as well, been a while. Also a cresent wrench or the exact size to fit the lock nut on the bottom of the shifter ****. I went and bought a 10mm ratcheting wrench for the front trans bolt because of the tight space. Buy some blue locktite to apply to all your bolts otherwise they will work loose. When you buy the kit it should have instructions in that guide you quite well for the install. Use jack stands and be careful.
