So Im on my 4th axleback setup for my stang and I must say I really wish the loudmouths were a few touches louder! Thus far I've been the happiest driving with no mufflers at all. The only problem is the pipes bang around, and I dont want the exhaust/carbon monoxide under the car. SO WHATS THE SOLUTION?? I like the way the SLP's look and all, and I really dont want to go through another axleback setup so... I guess the addition of an offroad pipe is more necessary than I thought... That being said I welcome any suggestions or offers of people willing to sell me their offroad x or h pipe. Thanks[sm=feedback.gif]

Cut the pipes off at the downward bend and throw resonators on it. HottyMustang on here has done it and it sounds pretty good

Exactly. Finally I'm not the only one... I was a little let down when i put mine on. i mean don't get me wrong they sound great. but they aren't that loud. everyone always makes them out to be super loud.
people have even switched back to stock because they were to loud... but, whatever floats your boat.

I still love the way they sound.

But I was also looking into getting an O/R h or x. But From what I have heard, sound clips,...its a little to raspy for me, well at least the x is. i have yet to hear o/r h and slp lm's...the slp lm's have the PERFECT sound for me, I just wish they were louder. i can barley hear them when im inside the car...

pypes o/r h-pipe will take care of that for you. The x pipe does add the raspiness to them

I agree with howarmat. I have the Pypes o/r H pipe ( sounds great)
Also, did you try jba axle backs?

Sounds like you guys are recommending the O/R H pretty good! The only thing that conflicts me from running out to get that pipe in particular is another thread I set up a week or so ago. It was asking which mid pipe would go with the slp lm's for a "Nascar" type sound. It had a poll and people recommended the O/R X over the O/R H, so I guess im in a bit of a toss up![sm=rolleyes.gif]

its all preference really, people could think that either sounds like nascar....it should be loud as can be though.

Nice! I've actually seen this before! I really apprecaite u posting that, b.c im having such a hard time finding vids of stangs with stock headers and a o/r x or h with slps. Im trying to figure this out cuz i want to put one of them on very soon! How do you like the o/r H? Would you say it sounds of that nascar tone??
