As much as I love my '88 and '06 Mustang
I can't help to wonder what designers might have given us if they had incorporated the flaired fenders of the early 80s Capri. I had an '83, and those fenders were killer.

I'll pass. I would have much rather had the hips of a 69'. :)

There we go! I'm not crazy about the fender half moon lip. No way history will change, just looking at some fantasy alternatives.

Wow, the classics BOSS Mustangs look awesome. By the way, how large is the 428 engine?

What a ****ing car! Can you imagine having that parked in your driveway?
It's also notable a few s197 styling cues readily identifyable, the fog lights and thehalf moon fenders. |

I don't get it! Isn't "Boss Hemi" a contradiction of terms???
Imagine if it was a real Boss, which probably didn't come with such a huge hoodscoop Love those hips though |
RE: As much as I love my '88 and '06 Mustang
Hemi simply refers to a hemispherical combustion chamber, the Boss was the first Ford to ever have it. And for a simple conversion use this forumula 1 liter = 61.02 cubic inches. So a 428 would be basically 7 liters.

RE: As much as I love my '88 and '06 Mustang
I can't even comprehend 7 liters in a regular car. I know some supercars have that kinda displacement but men I would sh!t if I had 5.2 liters. 7? man....

RE: As much as I love my '88 and '06 Mustang
That's the original Boss 429. It came with that large hood scoop and had some very aggressive styling.

RE: As much as I love my '88 and '06 Mustang
One the sales guys for that company stopped me in a Home Depot parking lot in Commerce MI and asked if I planned on doing anything to my Mustang. We talked for about 45 mins about all the stuff they were working on. One of the projects was electric motors in the front hubs of our S197. I have to find that business card he gave me and take a trip over to his shop to see some the stuff their working on. |
