Looking to make car louder while staying smog legal
I'm currently using SLP powerflo axlebacks (the SLPs WITH mufflers) and while it does sound great, I want my car to be loud at idle and louder at the various rpm ranges.
With the cats and mufflers still on.
So, I can only think of X pipe and new headers right now, I've though about getting Corsa axlebacks since those have been highly recomended.
Anything else?

Why not the loudmouths?? That seems like the easiest choice.
Corsa sound awesome but are really only loud at WOT. At idle they are very quite.
X-pipe might add the sound you want but Ithinkjust getting the loudmouth will do it.

Loudmouths are just pieces of pipe. No mufflers, me being in **** california that requires mufflers to pass smog.
Unless thats changed.

Many people are running them and I dont think they have any problems at all. Hell it takes less than an hour to switch so you can go back to stock when it comes time for inspection.

I was just looking at this, I don't see mufflers anywhere on the list. So I may be getting some loudmouths soon.

What i would do is this Get the JBA Shorty Headers they are the ONLY SMOG legal headers for here. Get a short X Pipe like the Bassani and then swap out those SLP for some Borlas Stingers.
