I haven't read much on here about reaction times... Aren't they just as important as modding your car?
Some of the videos I've seen show nearly .5 second lag times between green and go.

Hey guys just a heads up, it might be a Trail Blazer SS. Those things have an LS2, push 395hp and are no joke.My friends whooped my *** earlier this year with his mildly moded one.
Anyhow I think you can pull a 12.9 with just your mods.
I was getting 13.3s with mods in sig, my 60ft was 2.3s. It was cold out 34* was getting **** traction on stock tires at normal PSI. Car was trapping at 106mph. The Hurst might have helped out more than I realize though...
You can do it!

60 ft times are probably the most important issue with et like was mentioned above 13.30's @106 will get you in the 12's with a better 60 ft time!!!. The first 60 ft will tell the tale(traction and set-up!).

I'd go to the track as is and practice some and get a baseline and then build from there. There's alot of 'steps' to get used to and worrying about ET isn't one of them. To run high 12's you'll need to be running in the 104-106 mph range and thats with good traction/good driving and a good setup. Find out what mph you can run and that will give you an idea of what et you could run with ideal conditions and lots of practice. Good Luck!!!

I went 12.86 two times in a row at 105.59(best mph)with just my mods below on ET Streets and a 1.72 sixty foot. Intake/Brenspeed tune, flowmasters a/bStick shift car, launching at 6,000 rpms and shifting at 6,200 rpms and power shifting helps big time, worth two tenths at least. Plus thats with only 290 rwhp!

So I should be running 12's??? I trap over 104 on every run. 106 is my highest trap and that's at about 6200-6400rpms in 3rd. I really need to get some drag radials, but i'd like to stick to street tires.

I should have gone to the track tonight, but I didn't know anyone was going. Vidmond just had some CMDP's installed along with some Bama tunes. He was previously running Predator's Canned tune.
Anyway, with MT Drag Radials, 4.10s, Steeda Triax, and a C&L Intake with Predator 93 octane tune he ran a 12.5 (only once.) and his average was in the 12.7 range. We're all still new/learning so that would explain the 12.5 (meaning he got a good launch that round.) Anyway, it can be done, and easily if you've got the right stuff and pratice.
