Fiberglass sub box

RE: Fiberglass sub box
[sm=jawdrop.gif] Wow. I don't even charge that much for an entire fiberglass trunk set up. Thats a lot considering that doesn't include equipment. I had a similar situation that like years ago which is what motivated me to learn how to do this stuff myself. A shop wanted to charge me $2900 for the setup you see below. Which is one I built myself for much, much cheaper.

Actually, this is my side business. I mainly do local customers around the SoCal area. I've thought about opening a shop out here in San Diego but anyone that lives here can tell you the cost of living is crazy. The only reason I can charge as little as I do is because I don't have to pay thousands of dollars a month renting a facility. If I raise my overhead I'd have to raise the prices too.[sm=smiley6.gif]

I haven't done any verts yet. I'm sure the trunks are different between the verts and the coupes so each would need a different box. But either way I can make it work. If I had a vert out here to work off of I could come up with the same setup in no time.
I didn't take any pics of the box itself. Just the finished product. But the box is basically part mdf, part fiberglass. And the panel in front of the box is mdf wrapped in carpet.

That is schweeeet!!! I love my Shaker 1000 but HATED the ugly sub box it came in and like you didn't have the bigbucks others wanted for theirs. So with some plywood, insulationand carpet from pepboys I made this badboy to include the 2 10s plus a video setup I got for christmas!
I still have trunkspace for the groceries too!
