If you have not yet placed your order...check out oeconcepts.com
They make CHROME replica GT500 wheels with the correct offset. They come 18x9 and 18x10, which is the set-up on the GT500. Front tires255x45x18. Rears can be 295x45x18 or 285x40x18. Also, this supplier is NOT TO BE confused with oewheels, which sells on Ebay. Their wheels ARE NOT the proper offset for the 05-up Mustangs.

You are correct.
With 255/45/18 fronts and 285/40/18 rears.

The OEM Ford GT 500 wheels are 18x9.5 all the way around.

Mine are from OE wheels direct. They advertize in both the stang mags. They are the correct offset 18x9.5 They were great to work with. They also have many tire selections that aren't advertized I ended up getting 255s up front, and 285s in back. BFG KDW tires

RE: Regular GT with Ford SVT GT500 Wheels?
Hi guys
Sorry to bring this post to the top again, but have a related question.
I am a new (and delighted) owner of a 2005 GT Convertible with a manual shifter here in the UK. My friends all think I'm mad for buying a car with the steering wheel on the "wrong" side - I think they're mad for throwing $60K plus at BMW M3s
Anyway - to the point - I am looking at moving from my 17" Bullitts to an 18" rim - want to stick with manufacturer OE parts, so will go with Ford - a lower profile tyre will work much better on our roads in Europe.
I am pretty much convinced to buy the GT500 wheels from Ford, but before I do, could you please advise is there any other mod I would need to do in order for them to fit? The things I am thinking of in particular are steering rack stops, wheel spacers or any mods to the wheel arches to prevent rubbing.
Any other downsides or things I should be aware of would be great before I part with my money
Thanks guys
Mark

RE: Regular GT with Ford SVT GT500 Wheels?
Mark,
I have the OEM Ford GT 500 wheels with the same size tires (tyres?) as the GT 500 comes with stock (255/45/18 front and 285/40/18 rear) and have experienced no issues other than the occasional rubbing of the inside of the front tire against the inner fender well. This rubbing does not happen all the time, only when the steering is locked in a full turn. I have ordered the Ford steering stops ($20.00 US) to correct the problem. There are other products available such as the "Steering Rack Limiter Kit (Anti-Rubbing)"from StangSuspension.com for $12.95 US. Wheels spacers are not needed and there should be no issues with the wheel arches unless you have lowered your car dramatically. This is of course all based on a US model 2006 Mustang GT. I assume the UK model is very similar if not exact in respect to the wheels, wheel studs, axles, etc. Hope this helps.
