My 6 year old son is about 52 inches tall and 77 lbs (future NBA star [:-][:-]). We bought him one of those larger car seats a couple years back that is good for up to 90 lbs. It uses the stock 3 point belt and he loves it to this day. I use a seat belt extender for him so he can get at the belt latch. Nice thing is, the seat base of the car seat traverses the right front bucket seat base so it does not put the full weight on it, which in turn shuts the air bag off for the right front. He sits in there and shifts the gears for me left handed. Nothing like having a manumatic shifter with your son ripping through the gears for ya!!

I have a 2 year old. When I bought the Mustang, I ordered a Graco Simpson Racing Baby seat from Albee Baby (no recommendation on the vendor but I had no problems with the order.)

http://www.specialtybaby.com/grulcayobose.html

If fit much better than the big car seat (one of the rear facing to front facing convertables) we use in my wife's Pilot. With the passenger seat at a reasonable setting (ie. I can sit in it at 5'10"), my son can no longer kick the back of the seat. Plus it looks pretty cool with the black/grey and red trim. It is really just a Graco baby seat with Simpson graphics... nothing fancy.
