can i run a tune of someone elses programmer???
so i want to get a intake.. but think its gunna be a waste of money if i dont have a tune so that it will work right.. i looked at the airaid.. and saw how u can run it two diff ways... one with out a tune, and one with.. so my question is.. can i get the airaid and set it up for with a tune, and then use a freinds tuner to program my car?.. bc i dont htink the 700 is worth the extra 2 (maybe) miles per gallon in gas gains...and whatever trq and hp ill gain..
i did an edge evolution II on my f150 and didnt seem like there was any reason that i couldnt just run the same programer on another truck.
thanks for any help or suggestions..

Not sure but I heard you have to return your car to stock first. But I know when I bought my tuner I had to give them the 5 digit code from the top of the ECM

when you use the tuner to tune a car, it locks to only that car (i think by recording the VIN or something). in order to use it to tune another car, you must first return the original car to stock. so in order to use your friend's tuner on your own car, i believe you have to return their car to the stock tune, then fabricate or order a tune made for the specific parameters of you own car.
the bottom line is if you want to tune ur car you should buy your own tuner

I don't have one yet but I know it's worth the money (I just need to save up for it). Anyone here says you will definitely notice an increase in power when you tune it. I can't wait to tune mine
