boost a pump or ford gt dual setup??
which way is better???
i know the dual pump setup is good up to ~800rwhp
the price difference is only about $100.
which way would you go?
this is for an 06GT Auto. i just got the saleen blower and am looking for fuel upgrades.
thanks in advance!

RE: boost a pump or ford gt dual setup??
I personally do not like dual-pump setups. The reason is that if one pump were to fail for some reason, then your engine is now running on just one pump...and it is very easy for you to run dangerously lean and destroy the motor.
On the other hand, if you have one pump and it fails then your engine stalls right away, it doesn't keep on running with diminished pressure.
In my opinion the best choice is to get ONE pump that has enough oomph to supply the fuel you will need. Companies such as Barry Grant, Aeromotive, etc, all make single pumps in various capacities up to 1000 HP and beyond.

i guess the boost a pump is the better way to go then???

why get either unless you plan on going more than 7 psi it is not necessary. at least that is what I was advised several times. with a 3.8 pulley. the stock pump is just fine...

RE: boost a pump or ford gt dual setup??
Not sure this will help but this is what happened to my car
The Procharger with 10lb came with 39 lb injectors and a piggy-back pump system. At 480 rwhp, never had an issue. Then as we started to extend the rpm range over 6000, car started to run lean at the very top end. Apparently the extra boost developed with the centri, at the high rpmswas exceeding the capacity of the injectors or pump or both. So we put in 60 lb injectors and the GT500 dual pump/driver sys. Tuner saidProcharger is developing about 14 lbs of boost in the 6400 rpm range andA/F is showing 12s all the way across.Every day I start the car and it doesn't go booooooooooom is a good day. Planning on new long block and transmission (6 speed).
