Info on a tire brand? Help pls
Alright so its time for new tires and Ive been searching around, asking people I know and getting some info on new tires. Looking to go a littler wider than stock but on my same rims. Wanting 255/50/17... someone recommended for me to try Michelin Riken Raptor ZRs. Ive never heard of them before, but they said they are a high speed rated tire with great dry grip and pretty good wet grip. Any confirm this or have any experience with these tires before? Thanks guys.

Raptors are sweet and they are great with dry traction. Being Michelin tires alone means that they are reputable and are used widely on many performance cars. If the price is right go for it!

Hm... Steeda huh? I live in Fl, so cold isnt really a problem, but rain is. I really dont care about having the best rain traction because I dont drive like a dip in the rain anyways... I just want enough so that Im not sliding all over when I pull out of somewhere.

Just pull it (the tire) up on the web and see what the specs are. You want to look at three things.
Treadwear rating - higher the number the less sticky the tire: Stickier tires tend to have less grip in rain For instance a 300 is great for dry weather but marginal in rain even though the tire has an A for traction. Where you're at, I'd go for 350-400 on the treadwear index and A for traction. Temp can be B or better.
Traction and Temp rating - A=excellent B=Good C=Fair - Here in AZ a Temp rating of A is a MUST.
Speed Rating Z,W or Y are all good. (Not to be confused with Load index)

I dont like those tires, 2 high treadwear, go with falken azenis 615's they are 200 treadwear and they grip like there is no tomorrow. Remember the higher the treadwear the less grip, but they do tend to last more. Your choice traction or longetivity.
