I paid invoice. They wanted to add dealer advertising fees, I said no, and didn't pay them.

Location must have a major impact. In Houston I really believe with a little work you can get $4K to $5K off without a problem. I did that in the middle of the model year last year. At the end of the model year I could have probably gotten another couple of grand off, easy.

There is only about an 8% markup on a 2007 GT from invoice to MSRP. This would be about$2,400 on a car that MSRP'd for $30,000.
Even if you were able to get A-plan, you would only take off about another $900 (total of about $3,400). There is no way you are getting $4-$5,000 off MSRP unless the rebates are HUGE...let alone $7K.

The reason I got such a smokin' deal on mine was there is a ton of markup on most dealer installed options, especially when it comes to labor intensive work (such as paint).
