Default faulty, ****ty door handles.

both of my exterior door handles are ****ty. when you pull on them to open the door, they retract, but not all the way, they still stick out a little bit. anyone else have this problem? ill take pics if need be.

I think there's a TSB on it, it's a little plastic thingy in there that breaks, the dealer should know about it.

Yep had that on my 05 V6, they fixed it under warranty.

They said they had to order in a whole new handle to replace my existing one....what a waste due to it not retracting the last 1/4 inch....why cant anyone just fix anything anymore withour replacing the whole assembly??

Actually there is a how--to to fix it in TMS, it may also be on here. From what I gather a rod on the inside comes loose. Nothing actually breaks. I've had my driver side replaced twice b4 I looked it up to see what exactly is causing it.

I fixed my craftsman 1.5 ton floor jack with two O-rings from Ace hardware! I'm pretty proud of myself.
