285/50R18 LOOK OK?
If I keep the stock 17 in the front with 235 55R17 tires and put 18x9 with 285/50R18 in the back would it be ok and look decent? I just need more tire on the road for as little money as possible! I think the 285 is pushing it with the 9" rim width but it should be ok. Let me know guys. Thanks a million

RE: 285/50R18 LOOK OK?
The 285/50r18 will be 2 inches taller than the factory tire. You will lose alot of performance by going that route. A 285/40r18 will be almost the same as the stock height so performance will be about the same, but you will now have a fatter tire.
Here is a good tire calculator to determine sizes: Tire Size Calculator - tire & wheel plus sizing |
RE: 285/50R18 LOOK OK?
285/50R18 will not look good IMO. 285/40/18 is what i will be getting on my rear next time with 265/40/18 on the front. I currently run 265/35/18 but want a little more sidewall and general clearance.
