RE: Car goes in tomorrow - FINALLY!!!
Congrats Viking,
Definately been a rash of blowers going on lately.....Color me jealous.......I'm anxious to see your results. I've been looking at these on Brent's site, and thinking.....hmmmm.......... Tom is getting some great numbers with Brent's setup....

Are you making 439 rwhp by having the tune tweaked to the hilt or is there more in it? I told him to tune it conservatively but would love to make 430!
Thanks, to all of you, I have been wanting to Supercharge a Mustang since 1980!!

There's more left in my tune....... I asked for a conservative tune to be safe, since I'm not running the intercooler yet (I plan to add a Paxton air-to-air cooler to the Vortech blower). That's as much power as I wanted until I put the cooler on..... then probably look for about 470-480 at the wheels.

RE: Car goes in tomorrow - FINALLY!!!
With a centri blower such as Vortech, Paxton, etc. its very easy to control the power because the boost doesn't start to build until you've got your foot into it and you're at around 3000 rpms. Below that, it drives like normal.

RE: Car goes in tomorrow - FINALLY!!!
Yep, I plan on the Paxton. I like the air-to-air design better than the Vortech air-to-water, plus personnally I think the Paxton looks cleaner- I don't like that big Vortech box sitting in the engine compartment.
