It does sound like you beat on it. But it's your car. Hey if your not happy, go ahead andbuysomething else. But anything that gets beat on, expect to pay. Nothing is indestructable.

It sounds like the Tranny is nuetraslizing. I hope. 2 months is way too long. We're turning out 6 liters within a week at my work.

Tranny has a screwed valvebody. A friend of mine has been a ford mechanic for a while and he said its very common on the 5speed autos.

Its just ford way of working on them.

Pull apart (when the cars turn at the dealer comes around), wait for inspector, inspector takes parts to some lab or something, after a few days they approve ordering replacement part. part takes a few days to come in. than a few days to install.

the oil burning is unknown so that takes a lot longer but the same basic idea because its expensive work.

i called up ford and they cant even help me on the rental. i did talk to them enough that they said over 10 days they would posably cover but they would have to talk to the dealership at time of dropoff of my car. (ford is the one covering rental reembersement) also whats ****ed up, if i would have brought it in 2 weeks ago my ford dealership would have given me a car under the rental reembersement but they no longer do that.

and i didnt beat on the car, ive been averaging 17.8mpg in the city which says i dont lol

that rental clause thing seems totally dependant on who you are dealing with

my car was in the shop for a week and a halfbecause of a tranny problem ( 5 speed manual) and i they gave me a courtesy car no problem even though im 23. Right on the rental agreement it says must be minimum 25 yrs of age

Seems like someone likes to neutral rev up and shift to drive... The smoke in the morning all depends on your break-in procedure. Do you always let the engine warm up before you rev it over 2.5k? That is what typically kills the seals.

The neutral thing i found out because we have a really tall bridge that goes over the mississippi and i put it in neutral to see how fast the car would get upto on gravity and weight and i noticed that.

The smoke has been getting worse and worse and since i got it its usualy part warmed up before i even get in it (remote start).

As for reving above 2.5k when cold

Occassionaly it might hit 3k or 3.1k but nothing more than that.

Rarely even warmed up do i go above like 3.5k
