The mainstream torque converter for our cars is the TCI Streetfighter 3000 stall. I've been thinking of getting this one in 3200 to 3500 stall but I haven't decided. A local performance shop told me they use one made by FB (not sure if this is right as the guy was hard to understand) but it sells for almost twice the cost of the TCI.

You can find the TCI Streetfighter for the 05+ GT at www.jegs.com or JPC.

If anyone else has any recommendations, I'd like to hear them as well. I've heard mixed reviews on the TCI.

I think the stock stall is around 2400. I'm not sure if it's lockup or non-lockup.

+1
PI is the way to go...I have heard and read where too many people have went the TCI route and then changed to the PI as the TCI did not last etc....spend the extra $$ and get one that will last....IMO

I'm running the TCI 4000 stall and race it nearly every weekend. It runs 11.30s on 125 shot and never any issues yet
