Its called a "glassback" roof, it doesnt chang the interity of the roof because the safety cageis the frame surrounding the roof panel. You could pull that whole roof panel out and still be just as safe. Most retailers sell the glassback for around $2500 installed.

Take a look at that metal plate that they call your roof. Its about as thin as asoupcan. It would help save your life as much as the glass would. The famework around that sheet of metal is what saves your life. Your roof just fills in the gap

I would disagree with it being just as safe....you have glass instead of metal protecting you. There is a major difference there IMO.
