RE: GT w/ FRPP and FRHP vs. Shelby GT
I know FRPP, but what is FRHP??
I know the Shelby GT is a GT with the FRPP Power Pack, Handling Pack, 3.55 or 3.73 rear, x pipe, and Hurst shifter, and of course, the Shelby and "Powered by Ford" badging, stripes as you mentioned, different grille, spoiler delete, and hood pins w/ lanyards, and hood scoop.

You can add the FRPP and FRHP and gears yourself but its not going to be a shelby if that is what you are asking? So if if you add the parts all you have is a GT with a better than stock but still not great suspension and slightly (15-20) more HP.

I guess he's asking what I'm curious about too. All the parts on the non GT500 Shelby, can you buy better for less, and put them on a stock GT, and still come out cheaper than the Shelby at sticker?

My question I guess is would you pay the extra money or build it yourself?

You for sure can spend less and could put the same stuff ona Gt But, after all the modding is said and done, you will have a modded Gt thats to your liking, Nothing at all wrong with that! There are some real sweet Gt's here andpretty freakin fast one's too! But it just won't be a Shelby.
People spend thier hard earned money on what ever they want, It all depends on what you want to spend your money on. Would i do it again? You bet your ***!
If im not mistaken, I think there quite a few similarpost on this subject.
