Wheel and tire sizes...third time's the charm

I first posted in the wheel forum and got 0 responses. Tried in the new member forum and they were very nice..but no answers. So someone said I should try the year specific forum and here I am. Does anyone know what is the absoulte fattest tire and wheel combo that will fit under the new GT's with the Ford Racing handling package? What I really need to know is will a 18 x 10 in. with a 305/35/18 fit in the front with some camber? And will 11 in. or 11.5in fit in the back with a 315mm. Thanks for any help.

What kind of car?
I had 315 35/ 18's on the rear of my 02
The front I wouldn't try that...too much traction up front and you'll go places you don't want to IMO.
11" rim? well is it custom then yes. Good luck finding one with the right offset off the net.

It would probably be an 06 GT. SSR will custom make the wheel.

looking at tryin to run Toyo RA-1's. They come in 305, and 335 in 18 in. So 10's in front and 11.5 in rear would stick.

Way too big. Doubt it would fit anyway. Very pointless.

1+...esp for the fronts. Why do you want them so big? Oh and a 10.5 with a 305 should fit the rear nicely without sticking out past the fender wells. Offset is everything. Sounds like a custom job anyway and any tire with the right amt of money can fit in the rear without sticking out! Friend has a 315 in the rear of an 05 but they modded the fenderwell so it wouldn't stick out past the fenderwell.

RE: Wheel and tire sizes...third time's the charm

right now I'm selling my track/ show car to buy something different. I find the sound of the new GT's intoxicating with some aftermarket goodies. But let's be honest..Mustangs aren't known as svelte dancers so I'm trying to do my homework before I buy and see what is possible. On all of my previous cars I've had success with " he who has the most rubber wins". I had custom fenders made for my GTI so 15 x 9's would fit. I could out handle some Porsche's in the corners. Anyway...on track days it's not who goes fastest on the straights. It's common courtesy that if you are holding someone up the whole track, to let them by on the big straight. So if I can out handle the STI's in the corners with the right suspension and some giant rubber.......it means more fun for me. In the Koni challenge, the Stroker Mustangs get by with 275's on a 10 in. rim.....just looking for possibilites. Thanks and welcome to any other suggestions.
