If I increased my hp, would that decrease the RPMs necessary to achieve a given speed? For example, if I do 100 mph @ 3000rpm now, and then I add an intake and tune, will I do 100 mph at, say 2700 rpm? And therefore, if I get 4.10 gears with an intake and tune will I still run 100 mph at 3000 rpm like I currently do with 3.55 gears w/o intake and tune?

NO relation between HP and speed at a given RPM. Speed to RPM is a purely mechanical relationship.

True, you would need a built motor, fordged internals, balanced, ect.. to bump the redline up. I have seen some guys pushing the 4.6 stock engine to 6800 rpm but I would not go over 6500.
I think a built motor could reach8000 rpm andhold together.
Look at the NASCAR engines, theyhit 9000 rpm at 200+ MPHthese are well balanced machines

EDIT: Sorry I could not find FORD NASCAR Specs....
