Well, other than getting my hood painted and custom tuning, I do all the work myself, so 12 hours for the cam change.

RE: What's the longest your car has been in the shop
over 30 days! CEL came on.
Ford techs flew in to check it. Couldn't do a compression test because they didn't have the tester for a 3-valve engine! What shmucks!
Then they scratched their heads for 3 weeks before they decided to replace the engine. Left blood on the firewall, dust all over my interior and more.
Do NOT accept your vehicle until doing a complete check of your entire car before leaving the dealership!
Somehow the engine has performed GREAT since then!

30 days and still counting...simple Roush SuperCharger install...but PCM chip won't work with the Roush tune on it. When they wipe off the Roush tune, car starts. They've flown the chip out three times to Roush...all with the same results. NOW, we're waiting for Roush to just send a new chip. Day 32 on Monday [:@]

4 weeks to the day for gear whine(rear diff)
2 attempts with the Ford "axleservice kit"
then finally Ford authorized the dealer to replace the entire rear axle assembly
so far so good
BTW, the Taurus is an excellent daily driver, I had an Enterprise one for the first 13 days(OK), then they asked me to return it and gave me one of their own(another Taurus)...
I don't know what it had in it(the dealer's), but it was pretty bad a$$ for a FWD sedan
