I want to run the 87 octane down as low as I can go withought running out of gas so I can refill w/ 93 octane. Computer tells me I can go 47 miles until empty. How far do I really have?

I have gone about 4 miles past "0 miles until empty". I always push it to the limit, lol.

I ran mine down to 0 miles to empty - wanted to see the gas light change to red at 10 miles to empty and then got carried away.... I had about .2 gallons left when I filled up. Wont do that again....but carry a 1gallon can of 93 with you just in case and run it to 0.

Fill a 2 gallon gas can up and put it in your trunk. Then you can tell us how low you can go. No one is going to be able to tell you exactly.

My "0" is exactly 15 gallons used...leaving 1 gallon left in the tank

Yeah, I'm interested in knowing, too. Remember, though, that the "number of miles to empty" depends on your average MPG for the preceeding 500 miles, so it will vary from driver to driver. It might be useful to post what your car says when you fill it up. Mine usually says around 320 miles to empty, so I'm averaging 20 MPG.

It will also be useful to know how much of the 16 gallons the car can actually use before it runs out. There will always be a small amount of gas in the tank that it can't pick up.

I ran mine down to 10 miles to empty last week before doing my CAI and tune. It took 15.65 gallons to top her up.

I ran mine to zero with the gauge red in color and still had .8 gallons left, which is about 15 miles left on my car.
