Atnine years old I fell in love with a brand new '70 Boss 302,
My mom worked at the dealership "Back in the day "
At 16, I got my first one, a '72 coupe,Keystone Klassics,Big 60's on the back,8-track.
On 01/16/06 we took delivery on a special order GT,this has been the most (well almost..)
FUN that I have ever had behind the wheel of a car !!
Cruz the beach,road trip,car shows.
I even took home a "Peoples Choice Award" at my first car show !!!
I like when people say "mid-life crisis ?"
I say " HELL no, I've been this way my WHOLE life"

While BMW makes some fine cars most of us can agree that nobody has ever looked at a new one, then seen the price and said "That's a good deal"!!!
The same can be said for the new XK-R Jaguar, which is styled similarly to an Aston Martin, and I'd love to own one. But those are cars I'd only get if I won the lottery!
Most folks who know the value of a dollar see the Mustang as a great deal. The fact that it has one of the best 0-60 times is another plus!
The 87 octane it runs on (instead of the premium that almost ALL sporty foriegn cars need) can save you even more$$$.

While the looks are important I don't know if that's why I like looking at everyone's Mustang, or if it's more the bloodlines of the car's past. So many cool Mustangs in so many movies, car shows, races, etc.

And while I would love some of the Infinity's options, like seat memory, I'd hate to spend $40,000 and then see 4 others just like it everyday!

This is probably one of the best articulated posts I have seen. Bravo to the OP.......

I too drive only 5 miles each way to work. Every morning, grinning when I leave. Drop the 12 year old gear head off at school.....comments......quick stop for a cup of coffee to go.....comments......on to work......comments.......

Very good observation by the earlier posters....This car does have Soul.....no doubt. After a rotten day at work, get out of the driveway, jump on it, catch a nasty *** second gear......The day is behind me, and all is well again......

Nice job to the OP,

Mike

I'll go for a 300 mile cruise on a Sunny Saturday and i don't even have a destination. I'm just driving her.
Of course i don't need to drive to work, i just walk down the street. So when saturday comes "I'm outa here"
I've had this car for 13 months now and i still stop, stare and smile when i park her and then look back.in her direction.

Sailing220,
I live in SD and grew up in MN, do you drive your stang during the winter? I was curious because I drove last winter unless weather prevented it. See attached picture. We are going to lower mine this summer and will be parking it this next winter. Mine is also a Tungsten grey.
