Default Cooling fan staying on

JLT II cai with Xcal tune kit from Brenspeed. Installed yesterday. WOW what a difference. Only thing I noticed was the cooling fan runs all or most of the time now. Not that hot today only upper 60's. Has anyone had or having this condition? Tune is set up with 87 octane. Car is 07 GT Auto. Can't tell if it's on at faster speeds but pulling into the garage or stopped at stop sign you can hear it.

Read this post - it will give you a starting point to possibly resetting your XCal.

I think I've read before that Brenspeeds tunes keep the fan rotating even when its cold outside, you can do as the other guys suggested before or call brenspeed to have thetune changed, or maybe they have a reason to keep it running all the time, at any rate, the fan should cut off at least after reaching25 or 30mph since the ram air passing through the radiator is more than the air thefan can provide, actually at higher speeds the rotating fan can block more fresh air from reaching the engine

Yeah, Brent purposely lowers the fan kick-on speed. He can change it for you if you don't like it. I personally didn't at first, but after thinking about it. I really think it's best to just leave it as is. Brent does it with good reason, and I trust his opinions.

Just go into your tuner and adjust it yourself, easy to do. I actually set mine lower, the cooler you make it the better. Also if brent lowers it, it helps out with detonation when you increase the timing, just like installling a lower temp thermostat. Just check where it's at and adjust it to what you think, don't go to high though. my low is set to 180 and high to 196, these motors usually run around 198-200 when your driving unless it's hot as sh*t outside or your stuck in traffic.
The only problem you can have with your fan running alot is if you had a big audio system in your car, the fans take alot of power and so would the system. Other than that, really nothing.
