what does that CAI look like? Brenspeed tunes are unfreaking believable. Does that answer your question?

I'd like to know the answer to this as well, I started with the GMS intake and am thinking about tuning through Brenspeed sometime this fall.

Strangly, I just added a Brenspeed tune last week. I too am running GMS.Brent reccomends removal of the GMS MAF and replace with the stock sensor. Of course, you will need to remove the female to female connector too. Two screws, very simple change. I have only loaded an 87 tune and driven about 100 miles. Not enough to make a total decision. The car pulls harder between 2500 -4000 rpm and of course, shifts are much faster. I askedhim to make it every day driveable and not give me whiplash at each gear change. So far I like it. If you have extra cash it's cool but, overall I don't think it adds as much performance as just a CAI would add. Mileage is unknown, most people see an improvement. Again it's only been a few days and I don't drive the car every day.

In summary, would I do it again? Probably not but, you young bucks might like it a lot

Wow I cant believe you do think it adds alot. I can assure you teh Brenspeed or B ama tune with teh GMS intake adds some more HP. I bet you will gain 7-10 HP with it. The GMS is rated around 18-20 HP and CAI with Tune is good for 25-28 HP. So I am sure it will be totally worth it!

+1

Huge difference when I added a tune to my car, and I have the GMS CAI.

According to your numbers listed above.....

CAI @ 18 HP for what $290.00?
Tune for another 5 or 6 HP for $380.00?

No wonder I can BARELY feel 5 or 6 HP. My wallet is lighter! I mean, ya got 400 to blow go ffor it but, for that amount you could have a new painted rear spoiler and hood scoop.

Just don't forget, you're probably not getting anywhere near that 18HP without doing the tune.
