Rebates/Incentives on 07 GT..
I ordered an 07 black GT about 2 months ago and it is supposed to come in this week. My dealer had mentioned that if I take advantage of the 4.9% Speacial APR than I do not get the $1000 rebate.
I am also receiving the A plan. Other dealers have told me that I should get the financing rate and the cash back with the A plan.
Has anyone gone through this type of purchase? Doesanyone know what is standard or are all dealerships different?

In years past, A-plan was not price protected either. Did you get the price the DORA showed when you ordered, or were there any small increases by the time of delivery?

I bought my 06 on D-plan (similar to A-plan). You get one or the other - rebates or special financing. You should check to see what the best rate you can get with a credit union or your bank.Depending how close they can come to 4.9%, you might be better off taking the rebate andbring your own financing. Check the numbers both ways and see which gives you thelowest payment.

That doesn't sound right. The rebate/incentive applies the day the car shows up not the date you ordered it. I would want the rebate myself. Like others say go to another bank/credit union and look for the best rate and still get the rebate. I got the best rate at my credit union.

I just took delivery on my Mustang last week and when I was negotiating the price it was one or the other. I shopped around for rates and while my credit is excellent I couldnt get lower than 5.9. So I chose togive up the thousand dollar rebate for the 4.9% financing. In the long run you save more.
Mind you on the back of the order contract it states that the price and terms are subject to change. So while most dealerships wont do that to you if by some odd chance the interest rate offered by Ford changes drastically you may not get the 4.9% offerred initially.
