Cant lock keys in car?

I just wish my wife's 2002 Saturn SC2 had it. She seems to lock her keys in it once or twice a year.
The first I do is maybe turn down the stereo when pulling into the driveway,so I don't get BLASTED AWAY the next morning or that same night when I go out.
Then I shut the car off and REMOVE the keys right then.
I guess she shuts the car off,fixes her hair, grabs her lunch,grabs her purse and locks the doors.
Then I get a phone to bring her the extra key that I have on my keychain. Oh well.................

I read about the key locked safety feature before I bought this car. Several of my other cars had this feature also. It is a nice as long as you don't lay the keys on the console or seat. If this happens then you just look from the outside in! I have never tried to roll the window down with the key fob; have any of you tried that? My understanding is if you hold down on the un-lock on the key fob it will roll down the window.....I may go out and give it a try.

My last car, I locked the keys in the ignition at Walmart-the spare set was sitting in the console. My husband was not happy. I read in the manual too about not being able to lock the doors with the keys in the ignition. That is awesome for me. Maybe it is not the same for a manual, but I think in the owners manual you can set up the lock thing to auto lock or not.

Well, I hate to be the odd ball here.
But
I start my car every morning to get her warmed up. Went back into the house to get some stuff before I left for work. Came back out to get in the car and the door would not open, had to go get the spare fob to open the door. Some howI accidently pused the lock button on the door.
To make a long story short. I locked myself out of the car with the keys in the ignition and the car running.[:@]
If this is something that can be programmedI sure would like to know about it.
