This question kind of relates to the topic at hand...but would one expect to see better gas mileage from a turbocharger or supercharger?

Basic Saleen SC set up and I get 19-20 in mixed driving (Saleens tune).
A lot worse when you get into it, but who cares then

Seem like everyone is getting different numbers. It looks mostly on how you drive and how much boost you use. Kind of makes me want to go out and get a S/C.

What are the minimum modifications you need to do to the car when installing a S/C?

that depends allot on what supercharger you are going to get: there are some basic "you should do" : again depending on what kit you get some come with some of these.
larger injectors
Larger MAF
colder plugs
some suspension upgrades (Nice, not neccesary)although some will argue they are
better brakes (Again nice)
maybe new fuel pumps
again to better answer this, you need to narrow down what type of s/c (Centri, twin screw) then narrow down to a kit, (Paxton, vortex, roush, saleen, whipple, kenn belle etc)

good luck
