Default I'm trying to improve my brakes....stock blows

So I'm having Hawk brake pads installed with Russell Stainless Steel brake hoses. Should I pull the trigger on Rotorpros Cross-Drilled/Gas Slotted rotors as well??? Will they help???

changing the rotos will have no difference, drilled/slotted rotors are more a decorative mod than anything else they offer no real perfomance gain. They were made for when break pads where made of asbestos. The only way you improve braking is A. Better pads, B. Better lines, C. Increase rotor diameter, d. Bitier calipers

So what's better? (to avoid cracking) dimpled and slotted maybe????

I'm pretty sure drilled/slotted rottors help cool brakes off, this obviously does nothing for intially bite though and is useless on the street.

Steel lines improve feel, they don't actually improve stopping distance.

Here is a good read on brakes...be warned, it will take a while to read all the way through, but there is a ton of great info in it.

and the newbie comes through with the answer! I have the Rotorpros and so does tacobill. There are not a performance upgrade but a cosmetic upgrade. Get some of these and you will notice a huge difference in performance.

So you know more than wilwood does

Androdz, you want to play this game?

All the Wilwood link says is that drilled rotors can save some weight for hardcore racers, something that won't matter so much on a street setup.
In regards to cooling Wilwood says nothing, if you do some research on Stoptech and Brembos sites you'll see them saying slotted rotors improve airflow and thus cooling.
Steel lines do nothing but improve pedal modulation, on a road course this could equate quicker lap times somehow, on the street it means nothing.

When it comes to braking it seems to be much more art than science. Brembo, Stoptech, and Wilwood are all respected manufactures, yet I'm sure their opinions will differ from area to area, from their own experience and possibly for marketing reasons. I really couldn't care to get into a technical debate, whatever. The bottom line is that on the street drilled/slotted rotors are for cosmetics.
