Have no idea, My does not even work..... I have replaced the globe twice..... I just can not be bothered going back toe the dealer.... Just do it and wait to be told off... like tht will ever happen.

Yes its required by law. It started in the 80's so that people could tell the difference between break lights and running lights.

If you want a ducktail that covers the 3rd brakelight, you can get one that mounts at the top of the rear window. That way you dont have that ugly light on your bumper anymore, and its invisible in the back window, unless its lit up. It can be found here.
