hahahahahaha i love that logic. he has less power off the spray so will have less traction issues than you (and unless he's crazier than he looks, i doubt he sprays on launch). you're just putting yourself at a disadvantage saying street tires only.

If i sprayed on you and we were at the track ( Ask OB, i can drive like a mad man, lol) i would use my street radials that i have because they are already on my rims, just waiting for the winter months to be gone away. So i would have to put on my street tires i have in my basement. Then i would STILL take you up on youre offer ( depeneding on youre mods and if youre stock.) and.... Whoop youre monkey ***. I already raced my co-worker him in a 05 Gt, black. I posted pics in an ealier post and me in my dads 97 Cobra and put 1-2 cars on him. I work for a Ford dealership and i know how they go. Im not very impressed.

seems I had almost this same decision to make just over a month ago, so instead of an opinion, I will tell you what I decided.
I went for an 03 SVT Vert with only 875 miles on it (used as show car) paid $28,500. Like is so much I will next buy an 07 Cobra Vert.

I work for a dealership, so once summer hits. Im having them get an 04 Comp orange cobra for me. Then i'll have my juiced 98 and my 04. I finaly figured out why i dont like the 05. Its the body lines. I like the 94-98 Mustangs, and i like firebirds alot. I think its because of the curves, like smooth curvy lines in the body. The 05 doesnt have any of that. The 05 is pretty much stright, and the hood is plain, no scoops. I like those things. Maybe thats why i dont like the 05. Thats all i can come up with. lol

I'm thinking about the same thing myself, the 03' or 04' seems the best choice, but I'm also think about the frame and handling, The 05' performed better then the cobra on the skid pad, not to mention if u do a base HP, ratio for supercharger to stock motor, you'd come out better with the 05', meaning if u look at it with an 99 or 01 cobra if u add a SC with the same amount of boost as the 03 and 04's have, u get 460 I believe, instead of the 390 the 03/04's have. Now add the cooler and u got 490, see what i mean. But then there's always the better transmission of the cobra's.

all this hateration on the verts here, jeez. Is it that bad to be able to put the top down and chill when it's nice out? does every stang hafta have minimum weight, maximum body stability and run the fasted time at the track? Can't it sometimes, just sometimes, be about driving a cool car and enjoying it?

btw, I'd get the cobra vert, but try to find it for a better price. The new 05's are nice, but untested, and how could you not buy an almost new cobra if you're given the chance? The 05's will be all over the place next year, and stop being such a novelty (specially at the rate they're moving those v6's) but people will still go, damn, look, he's got a cobra.
