I have a silver mist 05 GT that has black vinyl now, but I want to get them taken off and painted on, I think the charcoal grey will look good, anybody have pics of this combo?

You definately want them painted on. Vinyl is cheesy. You have more choices with paint. I like the LeMans style stripes as they look best on Mustang, excepet when some yahoo makes them 4-6 inches apart or does not stripe the bumpers. lemans stripes look best with na narrow space.
When they are spaced 4-6" or more they look like theold rally stripes on first generation Camaros - not a good look.
A single wide stripe with pins also looks nice but again it must cover both bumpers.
I would do a silver color or white on your car.
