No wives tale, it resets the adaptive learning part of our computers. It doesn't last very long, but it sure is easy to do every few days.

is this only for autos or manual too?..
bc my car is a month old.. and i noticed about 2 weeks after i got it that the throttle wasnt liek it was b4.. so maybe this will help?

Dissconnect the battery for 15 minutes and that will reset the throttle response!

Actually it recalibrates the TB servo motor. Apparently the ECU remebers driving habits and stores the info,by doing this simple procedure you reset the ECU?
