Default Just installed aluminum driveshaft!

I just installed an aluminum one peice driveshaft on my GT. What a difference! My Gt is the first manual trans car I have owned in years. When I first got it, I thought I had forgot how to drive a stick shift asit was really jerky when shifting. What I did not realize is that the problem was the clunky two peice driveshaft. The car is so much smoother to drive and is noticeably quicker. This has got to be one of the best mods ever and I recommend it highly. Any one else gone to a one peice and really like it?

Coast driveline $572 from stangsuspension.com. At 17lbs it is 50% lighter than the stock boat anchor.

Any vibration issues at higher speeds, or any speeds for that matter? How about clearance, did you have to relocate the e-brake bracket?

I felt the same way and almost used the same words as you to describe the difference. Very smooth now and it feels like your foot is directly connected to the engine.

Absolutely no vibration, The stock driveshaft actually had a slight vibration and a whole lot of slop. I did not have to relocate anything. It has adequate clearance from the e-brake cable. Very easy installation, I did it on my garage floor with jack stands, it took a little under 2 hours from start to finish.

More than 50% lighter. I weighed the stock shaft and it weighed 41 lbs on my bathroom scale.
