I have the stock hood scoop with my 07 mustang. I am getting the white 12" stripes from BSM however I cant decide whether I would like the stripes to go through the hood scoop or leave it alone. Give some feedback and pics if you got them.

I don't think you can cover the hood scoop with the vinyl material. I have seen that some have just the top surface with an open space in the middle of the scoop. I just put the scoop over the stripe and I like it that way.

I like how the Shelby Gt has the stripes over the scoop. and I dont even think the ones onthe shelby are painted. correct me if i am wrong tho. I am still marinating on this tho

I find it hard to believe that the Shelby Gt scoop is not painted. It has so many different surfaces going in many directions. It also has rivets around the edges that are the same color as the stripe. I don't see how they could wrap that with vinyl. But I could be wrong I'm no expert.

Howdy folks.

I just had Rob at Baltimore Street Mods install a set of the gloss black 10" rally stripes on my Tungsten Grey GT. It wasn't easy, but he did stripe the factory hood scoop, and it looks awesome! As soon as I can get her cleaned up, I'll post some pics.

If I had a dark colored car and was putting on lighter colored stripes, I would not stripe the scoop. For lighter colored cars getting dark stripes, I think it looks super sharp with the scoop striped to match. Just my personal opinion.

Glad I found this post. Going to be getting my 07 GT either late May or early June and was actually having the same question run thru my head. Since mine is going to be Grabber Orange as well - Grabbers pic sealed the deal. Sure the woman of the house said "Looks like a toy" - but really, does that matter?
