Love my shaker 1000, It rocks, and the install is proffesional, dont have to tune the base for the enclosure and all that BS that comes with getting an after market system. The base is tight not that thumpy crap you sometimes end up with and no rattles or vibration. The wife wants on in her Firebird, (she has the monsoon system), no contest. Not only that but the value of the car will stay up. My car listed at 32,000 and bought it at the end of 2006 for 22,000 with dealer discounts and got it on the x-plan.

My friend has a Shaker 1000 and I think it's pretty decent for a car system. Something I wouldn't brag about. But if you are a bass lover then after market is the way to go imo. When I purchased my Mustang, I passed on the shaker system and installed 2 12" Rockford Fosgate P3 Subs. I'm a bass lover!

I have the Shaker 1000. Only problem is with bass cranked up sometimes doesn't sound great for certain songs/stations around here. Also when you open the windows you lose quite a bit of sound. I wouldn't recommend cranking up the bass all the way and turn on the Shaker Mode while drivingbecause you can't see the back very good or the sides if it's really deep bass songs.

I have the 500 just because it came with the car but it really isn't a bad system at all. I haven't had any of the CD skipping problems that others have had but it is possible I got a newer model of Shaker since I have an 07. I think it's worth it to get the 500 to get the door subs but I'm an aftermarket kinda guy when it comes to trunk subs.

I've never understood why they use 2 amps to power the 2 trunk subs.

4 Amps

I bought mine used so it was already there and I like it a lot. But hey I came from a single disk cd player in my F150.

I like it. Sounds pretty decent for a factory system. Haven't had the skipping problems that others have had. If you do not want to do after market I think it's a pretty good addition.
