Default Shelby style hood from Cervinis or Intake and tune from Brenspeed?

My car was damaged by hail and now I have a choice to make. I have enough insurance money to either do paintless dent removal on the original hood and get an intake/tune from Brenspeed or just get a new heat extractor hood from Cervini's and have it painted and vinyl stripes put on it. My wife says I have enough power and I should go for the style. My neighbor says knock off hoods arent cool and I should go for power and whoop some *** on the street. Both options sound good to me and I just cant make up my mind. My car is stock except for flowmaster axelbacks. Dont say do both 'cause it aint happening. I have way too many other projects going on now to spend the money. Cast your votes and help a brother out. Thanks.

Well in my case. I want a Roush body kit. Also wanted intake and programmer. One cost more than the other but I chose to get the intake and programmer first. I like it. I'll get the body kit in a bit. Just gotta think which you want more... looks or performance???? Its your car.

Do you want to look fast or be fast?

i think that after market hoods look so good .. specially the ones liek this...

but since my car is stock.. and i feel like i need something to it.. i would get the tuner and intake.. but if i had a few power mods allready.. then i would do hood..

both of them are a good mod, if anyhting.. i say get the tuner and intake.. and dont fix the hood.. wait.. save the money for the hood u want.. and then buy it a month later or so

just my opinion.

The hood.. and the tuner minus the intake. Good Compromise..

That would put me over budget. I've got a house to fix from the same hail storm, a basement I'm finishing and a nursery to do for our baby thats coming in a few months. I'm also paying off 2 new yamaha raptors. lol. Cannot go over the insurance settlement.

since you got a baby coming and all that crap to pay for/off... and i have no idea how old you are.. but gunna guess about 26 ish.. then i would get the hood for the reason being that the intake tuner is gunna make you go faster, waste more gas, cause you to put in 93 instead of 87 and ur in mess of other fees like if somethign breaks.. not sayin that it ever will.. butt.. anyways..

i would go for the hood under those circumstances

I hear ya on the burning more gas issue. Someone on here posted that the cost of the higher octane is offset by the increased mileage. I'd love to see some proof on that though.

Save the money for your baby. Kids are more expensive than any mods you could do.

I rather be a sleeper than a dressed up car that can't hit the note.
