I remember reading your post when you got your resonators put on. I'm not sure what brand they are, I have them in my garage, should they have a name on them? You think I should try again and make sure I get better one's this time?

Since I put MAC headers on my 2000 V6, I won't buy MAC anything again. You might try taking it back to the muffler shop and tell them what's going on and see if they can locate the problem.

If you want loud though, go with the SLP. I love setting off car alarms.

06blkgtgirl - I'm no expert in this matter but a very cheap resonator could be the problem. Try looking at some name-brand resonators or race mufflers online. CrazyAll mentioned a few but I forgot... Mine are Kooks 304 stainless.


dirtydeedsinc - Some MAC products are GREAT ( e.g. my cat-back exhaust system) others are not too great (e.g. MAC headers).

Certain vendors provide good parts in certain applications. If you searched this forum accordingly you would have realized that MAC is not the way to go regarding headers. Hope your next purchase is fruitful (lol - fruitful, what a sissy word).

06blkgtgirl, manystylesis right, if your muffler shop installed the glass-pack kinda resonator you'll have that ping noise. go for the good ones and keep your MAC.
