Should I get the Shaker1000 or a Hood Scoop/Spoiler?
I'm getting a V6 this weekend, yet and a bit up in the air about whether to get the upgraded stereo system or the GT appearance package and a spoiler. Any input on what you think I should go for is appreciated. Thanks.

I love my Shaker 500... 1000 wouldnt do much better.
if you truly care about audio then you'll get an aftermarket system anyways.
Go looks. Of course, its a V6, in reality you should get neither of these options and put the money into a GT

Ignore this poser above. The V6 rules and don't let anyone tell you different. it's the fastest car in it's price range, as rated by Car and Driver.
That having been said, he is right about the Shaker 1000. It's not worth it. you will be happier with an aftermarket system which would cost as much or even less.

I say go with the Shaker 1000. IMO if your gonna have a hood scoop, it might as well be functional, and I think all the aftermarket spoilers look better. Just my $.02

Thanks for the input guys. I have decided to go with the Scoop and the spoiler. I will take your guys' words on the quality of the 500. This Saturday will be here soon enough. As for ohnoesaz, I would like to let you know that this will be my first car, so the size of the engine won't really matter to me. Although I don't believe that I would be able to get a GT, I don't think I would need all of that power anyways.
Within the next year however, I plan to continue to add on to my car's appearance and also continue to post on these great forums and ctalk with fellow Mustang lovers in this community. This isn't the last you've seen of me.
Again, thanks for the input guys.

I didn't mean it in a bad way when I said get a GT. I'm just giving you a fair warning that you, like everyone else, will want more the second week you have the car.
The V6 seems great because you don't have it yet. Once you do you will want more... I bought the GT to avoid this. I felt like I was wasting money on the GT and now Im so thankful I did because I wouldve lost so much money trying to do dual exhaust and cosmetic things on the V6 to make it look like a GT, once the day came that I wished I had gotten a GT.
As a GT owner I can tell you that when I bought the car I laughed at the idea of getting a Shelby because the GT was perfect. Guess what... 45 days later and I'm wishing I splurged my money and got a Shelby.
The point is people are never happy, so you need to get something nice so you're not stuck wasting money later trying to make yours more satisfying.

skip the shaker 1000. It is way over priced for what you get. You can get a much better system after market for less $$. The only reason I can see it is for the stock look but it is still very pricey for what you get. I have the 500 and it is good enough for me, I would have gone after market if it didn't come with the premium package however.
