Sorry to hear. yeah two different issues for the two cars. Atleast for me it was an easy fix. Sorry to hear not so for the rest of you.

Some folks have had a Saleen suspension thunk, which is caused by a loose sway bar link. I had it once, but it has been fixed and has not come back.

What causes the suspension thunk in the stock Mustang GT setup? I know there's a thread on this very topic, but the simple answer to my question is apparently burried in something like 50 pages of posts...[&:]
So if the problem with the stock Mustang GT suspension is not the sway bar links, what is causing the thunk in the stock Mustang GTs?

is it worth it for a V6 Pony w/ Saleen 20"s? Will I see a improvement in handling?
I'd wait until Aug. or September, when they come out with the PJ suspension kit...After test driving that sucker, I want that suspension!

We still don't know what's causing the thunking noise for sure. I put on all kinds of frame strengthening stuff and only turned down or absorbed the noise a little. The only thing left on my car is the struts and upper bearing mounts. Which are expensive for quality aftermarket stuff. Some people have had luck getting rid of the noise replacing this or tightning that, but not every fix works on every car. That's why this has been a frustrating issue and Ford doesn't want to do anything about it except drag it's feet. I think there only appling the fix to new "unsold" vehicles and saying heck with the rest of us. I've writen a letter to Bill Ford about the problem last week and waiting for an answer now.

Are you sure Jared ?? LOL

Seriously, To let you know.........The Saleen suspension package (struts, shocks, springs and front bar) is the same kit that comes on the N/A, S/C, E Car and PJ. The new optional watts link from the PJ can be installed on all of them. I do not know about fitment on a conv. though. The watts kit includes the complete watts unit and rear sway bar. I can tell you that it is a great upgrade. I love it !! Here is a link to see what it looks like......

My buddy put the Saleen kit on his GT and I don't likt the way it rides. I would think in a V6 car it would pretty much ride like a dumptruck.
