I'm too lazy to do a search for tinted overlays right now... are you lookin to tint the whole thing or get one of those with a design?

let me see if I've got this straight? You think it's a good idea to make it harder for people behind you to see your brake lights??? You get rear ended and it will be YOUR fault, regardless of how at fault the other driver is.
As far as only using them for show, while the car is parked, why waste money on it?

I'll be looking closely at anyones brake lights I rearend. I'm pretty sure I rearended a camaro in high school who had painted his tailights! Or they just didn't work.

[&:] I have blackout covers on mine... I like it alot more personally. My car is silver and I think it looks lame with orange and red plastic stuck all over, so I cleared and blacked everything out. You can still see my lights fine through the blackouts when they are on and when Im braking, but when theyre off it looks good, so why not?
I also have a third brake light and sequentials, so if youre behind me and cant see 7 brake lights.... you dont need to be on the road! (Which actually describes alot of the population here in Fl.)

Personally, I don't like any tint on lights. It darkens the lighting and at night, since you can't really see the tint at night, the car just looks 'old' because of how 'diffused' the lights light up...
In the daytime it looks like the person is trying too hard to make their car different.
No offense to people who have tinted their lights, it certainly has a good place and time for it to happen, but I think someone looking into it should look into something else...
