For starters, let me put the current mods on my car.

JLT CAI + B a m a chips 93 oct tune, Ford Racing CMDP, Steeda UDP's and the stock 3.31 gears.

My car has an average MPG of 20.8! and this is 98% city as of right now! I filled her up past Sunday, 43 bucks, right now the trip is at 74 and the marker is just above 3/4.

I did all the mods at the same time and before mods I used to get like 17 MPG, 18 Tops.

Keep in mind, this is NOT a V6! wtf is wrong with my car??? Is this normal???

I average about 300 miles a week commuting and playing. About 50/50 city, hwy. Before CAI and tune I averaged about 19 mpg, now with the tune about 21.5-22mpg same driving. I do find I tend to slam it a bit harder around the city, but on hwy set cruise at 75mph and go.

Gotta love CAI and tune. More power and mileage.

The weird thing here, is that I mostly do 100% city driving, and thats traffic, stops, and traffic lights.

Is it normal for a car that is 100% city to have that MPG? Or should I just call Doug at B a m a and say thanks for giving me this helluva surprise!

Hold on, I need to record this. I've never heard anyone complain that they were getting gas mileage better than before they started modding their car... Usually an increase in power is due to an overall increase in efficiency. This increased efficiency means an increase in MPG.... Takes less work to do now what it used to do before.. makes sense right?

Are you getting that fuel economy with the 93 Torque tune? I used to get 20.5 mixed and now I'm getting 17.5 mixed with the C&L Racer and 93 Torque from B a machips. I haven't tried the performace tune yet because I'm really loving the Torque tune......but if I can get better fuel economy with the 93 Performance than I'll load it tonight after work.

I do a lot of city driving and my MPG did go up about 2 MPG when I loaded my Steeda tune. (I'm getting about 21 now.) I figure it more than made up for the increased price of premium fuel.
