ORIGINAL: GTstangB.F.D.M.

that is the nastiest bay i have seen yet on a stang.. god its so pretty!!!...

i love it.. i want to do this right now!!!!..

i would say you need to take the valve covers and get them chromed.. and get a new coolant box.. one of the kinds that are welded..

questions for you tho.. what did it all cost you in the end?...

how much was it to chrom the pipe?..

how much was all the steel braid, is it all the same size, what about the fittings, and i think thats it on that..

but damit man.. that looks so sexy.. props! i think you won the engine bay award!
Ok let's see if i can answer this in order:

First Thank You for the compliments.

Valve Covers are already Black Powder Coated and that is how I like them very subtle and I do not like the Looks of the Canton Overlfow tanks.

Cost don't keep track Chroming the C&L alone was 250.00

All the braided hose and clamps for it were about 100.00 all from summitracing.com then i cut it to size. It is differant sizes. Belowis a list of sizes and what they fit.

5/16" line: It's 36" long and you cut it to the size you need and slip the other clamp on. I bought one of these.

3/8" line: It's 36" long and you cut it to size also. I bought 2 of these, and used the excess from one of them for the brake vaccum and bought an extra set of clamps.

5/8" line: . This one is 48" long and you cut it to size also. I bought one of these as well.

The radiator overflow, passenger side PCV, fuel vaccum, and brake vaccum are 3/8", the fuel rail one is 5/16", and the big PCV on the driver's side is 5/8".

I actually still used the factory Quick Connect fittings i simply cut the hard plastic lines off of them. Also on the 5/8" PCV hose mine kept collapsing after about 100 miles so I cut the hard line down to the right length and inserted it inside the hose to prevent collapsing.

I think that covers it all.

Yep it actually cost me more to have the hood strut brackets chromed than i paid for the Hood Strut kit itself. Chroming ain't cheap.

Not sure if you have seen the C&L in person but it is a very porous casting and the job they did chroming it is almost flawless and totally smooth unlike the C&L in it's stock form.

I need some midwest autogear stuff...I could easily spend a ton there.

This is my plan: a nice red/black plenum, some red MAG strut towere covers with 4.0 on them, the red radiator cover and extensions, and a red jlt intake. That should make it look nice. And maybe some of those scott drake caps for the fluids

ya.. i see what your saying.. the process of chroming if i remember right from discovery channel or something liek that is kina long/wierd too..

if i get to the point that i have a C&L.. (money/college/nessecities) i may paint it.. like a anodized blue or something.. i dunno.. i was looking on duplicolor at some of the stuff they have.. adn they have a wide variety of different types of paints..but i dont want it to look cheap.. or half a$$.. so.. idunno..

right now its in my dreams.. lol
