hey guys..

i have had my GT for about a month now.. and EVERY time i go to fill up.. the handle clicks saying its reached maximum capacity (in the gas tank) when on my gauge it only says 1/2 tank.. so i shift it around and move to get more out of it.. and gas comes sprayin out of it.. its pissing me off bc im goin to get gas every 100 miles.. literally..

i plan on taking it in.. but if any of you other stangers out there have this prolem.. let me know.. so im not the only one.. or if you know why its doing this..

and also.. i dont think its the gauge.. bc ive had liek 2 full tanks.. so.. i dunno.... I HATE THE FACT THAT GAS IS DRIPPING ON THE SIDE OF MY CAR AND PROBABLY KILLING MY PAINT....

i had to wipe it with a dam window squegee at the gas station.. figures the day after i wash/wax

comon problem.. theres a TSB for it but dosent seem to work.

I have the same issue and find that if you hold the nosle at about the 3 oclock position it works faily well... sucks we have to deal with this bs.... I know

holding it at the 3 oclock postion meaning the handle basically being upside down???...

and ya.. this is ****.. some things about this company **** me off.. but no dought i still love em..

no... what I mean by 3 oclock is with the handle pointing towards your right as u face the car... turn it counter clockwise 90 degrees.

Also like to say that it depends on the pump.
There are a few local stations I use where certain pumps work just fine, while the ones right next to them have the problem.
Pisses me off when someone is at my pump.

LOL +1 I took it in for the tsb and got a new fuel tank and fuel pump no problems since.

I had that problem as well... took mine to Ford and had them fix it..never an issue again

its cause they are split tanks, it will happen around 8 gallons or so. ford can fix this? what did u do just take it to the dealer and say it is broken?
