Default K & N cold air intake Tune questions?

I purchased the k & n cold air intake installed it on my saleen s281 3v. I would say instantly i noticed a difference with sound and performance! I also purchased a diablo tuner... I put the 91 octane tune on the car and again noticed a combined diffrence with the two... OK OK here is the question. CAN IT BE TUNED BETTER ?? considering that the 91 tune from diablo is for a stock air intake..

Anyone have tune numbers i can use/or a custom tune already that they can send me
I tried to use the steeda cold air intake on the tuner and check engine lights out the a s s.. to rich blah this blah yada yada
so any imput is great thanks!

It can severly be tuned better... The 91 tune is not made for a specific intake, but rather for stock, so theres your first hint that it could be better...

Also, the octane tunes on the diablo, while better, are not nearly as precise as custom tunes.

Trust me, get a custom tune and you'll noticea difference.

um, there is more info on these issues than you could shake a forest at. brenspeed does not do diablo tunes, so look into evolution performance or b a m achips or just "tuners". just do some searches for those and i guarantee you you'll be reading for at least three hours!!!!

Climates vary everywhere, which is why canned tunes are pretty conservative. Yore kinda asking for the doctor to give you a prescription over the phone. You need to take the car to a tuner and put it on a dyno. Playing with fuel and spark without the proper tools isn't very wise, ESPECIALLY with a supercharged engine. If you can afford an S281 you can afford a couple hundred bucks for a tune
